  • AAR: Trust is built after taking a risk and finding it’s safe.

Today we took a risk in trying the workout; we risk when we share uncomfortable things with others. And when we find we can do the workout, when we find that others treat our brokenness with compassion and respect, then trust is built. In your groups, in your teams, look to recognize when someone is taking a risk with you and treat that with respect. Show them that they are safe with you, and you will build trust.

Audio moleskin: No, you may not be able to do what you want today; no, you cannot meet every expectation today–yours and others; no, you cannot execute your whole vision today; but, doing something that moves you closer to your vision, doing some thing that expresses your love and breaks a link in the chain, doing one thing better than you did last year, last month, than yesterday, that is the road to progress, to happiness: to do something more, something better.

  • AAR – Desert Ascent: The Mountain Doesn’t Move

The mountain didn’t move today. It was here before us. It’ll be here after us. Solid. Unshaken. Unimpressed.

But we moved. Our breathing changed. Our legs burned. Our minds negotiated. Every uphill step forced a decision — slow down… or lean in. And that’s life.

Your work doesn’t move. Your responsibilities don’t move. The pressures at home, the expectations, the chaos — they don’t magically shrink.

So what has to move? We do.
    Our discipline.
    Our mindset.
Our willingness to take the next step when it would be easier to coast.

Some will hit that hill strong. Some battled it. But every man here kept climbing. That’s what matters. The mountain stays the same — but every climb builds a different man coming down.

So when you hit your uphill this week — at work, at home, internally — remember this morning. You’ve already practiced the response.
Lean forward. Short steps. Steady breathing. Keep moving.
Because the mountain doesn’t move…but we do.
